Asian-Style BBQ Three Ways #BlueDragonMom

Summertime is¬†perfect for playing outside, lounging in the sun, and grilling on the barbecue. There’s nothing I love better than the scent of grilling meats and veggies on a warm evening. Barbecues seem to bring our family together – it’s not just mom (ie. me!) cooking in the kitchen and calling everyone to the dinner table. When I’m grilling, suddenly my husband gets involved, the kids are watching and hanging out, and it feels like a family activity.

As a Blue Dragon Ambassador, I’m discovering how to add some Asian flair to everyday meals, and I’ve found that it’s so easy to add a bit of spice and Asian-influence to any dish! Here I share with you three different ways to make an Asian-style barbecue.

I make these quesadillas for everyone, but the kids especially love them. There’s a little bit of heat from the Blue Dragon Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce, but the cheese, sour cream, and sweetness in the sauce balance it out enough for everyone to enjoy. I make them plain for the kids, but when it’s for adults, I add green onions, red and yellow peppers, and chopped onion as well!

Lately I’ve become a huge fan of salads, after discovering that guess what? They don’t have to be boring! I’ve been experimenting with different homemade dressings, different proteins and combinations of vegetables. I also love grilled shrimp on the barbecue. I marinated the shrimp in the Blue Dragon Wasabi Plum sauce to give it a bit of a kick, grilled, then added it to a delicious salad!

These beef kebabs are always a crowd pleaser, almost everyone enjoys the large and juicy pieces of beef, mixed with delicious veggies like pepper, mushrooms, onion, and zucchini. I love the distinct kick the kebabs get from the Asian-spices and sauces, they’re delicious!
