There are so many amazing restaurants in Whistler that it can be difficult to choose where to eat! I love experiencing all the different options available for restaurants in Whistler, because it’s fun to explore all the different pubs, restaurants, and cuisines that are available! However, I do have my favourites… don’t we all?
I put together a list of my favourite restaurants in Whistler – the best pizza, my favourite breakfast, fine-dining restaurants – a bit of everything! Of course, there are so many incredible restaurants in Whistler, that I had to cut it down to just a few – my go-tos if you will! Enjoy!
Best Breakfast Restaurants in Whistler
Elements Urban Tapas Parlour is tucked away inside the Summit Lodge Boutique Hotel on Main Street, but don’t miss this place. Arrive early or be prepared to wait! Elements offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but the breakfast here is my favourite when I want something a little special. At least once in your life, indulge in the Honey Ham & Brie Stuffed French Toast (share it – it’s huge!), or stick to one of my favourites: the Pancetta, Red Pepper & Goat Cheese Frittata or any of the Eggs Benedict.
The owners of Elements also own my other Wildwood Cafe favourite breakfast spot in Whistler. There are two locations – one in Whistler Village – but for a more casual and kid-friendly option, I prefer the spot in Function Junction! They make great Bennies, pancakes, and french toast, and I’ll usually go with either an omelette or a classic breakfast. Delicious!
Best Lunch Restaurant in Whistler
This little gem of a restaurant is tucked away under the Fairmont Hotel in Blackcomb Village. Portobello Market & Fresh Bakery is great for any time of day! There’s a drool-worthy assortment of donuts and baked goods, and they make the best chai latte in Whistler (hands down!), but my favourite thing to eat is a made-to-order sandwich at lunch. I love that you can custom order a sandwich (a half or a full!) exactly the way you like it – and it’s always amazing!
Best Pizza in Whistler
My favourite pizza place in Whistler is Creekbread, a family-friendly spot in Creekside with an emphasis on natural, local, and organic ingredients. I love the relaxed feeling, that the kids can colour and wander around, while watching the pizza get made in the awesome wood-burning pizza oven. My top picks: Mopsy’s Kahlua Pork and Pemberton Potato Pie (if you eat meat, add bacon to this one!).
Fancy Dinner Restaurants in Whistler
For a fancy dinner restaurant in Whistler, the Rim Rock Cafe offers fine dining with a slightly more casual atmosphere. The food is incredible, everything on the menu tastes delicious and is made with care. The service is always makes you feel welcomed, and the restaurant itself feels like a cozy secret tucked away in the mountains. Get the sticky toffee pudding for dessert (even if you think you don’t like it!).
When I’m in the village and going out for a fancy date night, Araxi is my restaurant of choice! An extensive cocktail menu, an oyster bar, and spectacular desserts make it an indulgent evening. They also offer a great Apres with fondue! Araxi is a modern fine-dining experience where reservations are always recommended, but if you’re more spur of the moment, eating in the bar is also a great experience.
Best Cocktail Bar in Whistler
The first time you go to Bar Oso, sit at the bar if you can. The bartenders put on an amazing show when putting together the impressive cocktails, and you will be amazed at what can be created out of the small kitchen that’s tucked behind the bar! The food menu consists of delicious Spanish-influenced tapas, and the cocktail list is incredible. What are my favourite cocktails? Hard to choose, but start with the Oso Sour and make your way down the list!
