My 10 year old can’t wait for school to be over. Summer is calling and she is ready to go! She’s created a list of all the fun things she’d like to do this summer – on top of the bike camps and other fun activities we have planned!

I have a feeling it’s going to be a busy couple of months… juggling the schedules of the kids and the adults, carpooling, playdates, and all the time spent ‘being bored’ – I know it will sometimes feel overwhelming and chaotic… But being prepared and focusing on the fun and the sunshine will keep me grounded and ready to take this summer on! How to Get Fit and Have fun with Kids

Jump up, jump up, and get down! Do your kids love trampolines? Airhouse in Squamish is an indoor freestyle trampoline park, but it’s so much more than just a place to jump! Airhouse prides itself on being a progressive training facility that offers trampoline and conditioning programs for everyone, from toddlers to pro athletes!

Jumping on a trampoline has to be one of our family’s favourite pastimes – we were absolutely thrilled when Airhouse opened in Squamish this past year. It’s an amazing place to train, workout, be active and have fun with the whole family! Did you know that Airhouse also offers Summer Camps and Workout Programs? View Post

Working late each day doesn’t seem as hard when the sun stays out longer. Spring has definitely arrived here in Vancouver! Waking up before 6am isn’t too bad when the sun is already peeking out – and there’s a 4-shot espresso waiting for me at Starbucks on the way to work!

Have you tried the new Starbucks app feature that allows you to order + pay before you get to Starbucks, and then pick it up without waiting in line? I have to admit, I feel like I’m back in school and butting in line. Everyone seems to be watching as you bypass the order line-up, head straight to the pick up counter, and see your name on a cup that’s waiting for you 🙂 I’m sure I look so smug…! View Post

When I was a girl of ten years old, I remember watching my mom taking care of her skin each day. She would tell me to always moisturize the neck, and use night creams to take care of your skin at night. I remember going through her massive collection of skincare products – glass pots with rich creams, bottles with nice smelling lotions, and tiny tubes filled with wrinkle-reducing promises.

As an adult, I am very conscious of taking care of my skin, whether it’s drinking a ton of water, wearing SPF or staying out of the sun when possible, and taking in healthy fats that are essential to keeping your skin looking great. My latest skincare obsession is the Absolutely Ageless™ Collection from Aveeno®! Keeping reading to get a coupon to try it yourself! View Post

The buzzword at my household these days is à la français – that is, let’s try to learn how to say all the things in French, because my tween-aged daughter is heading into French Immersion for the next school year. The requirements for the curriculum include learning the multiplication times tables in French, along with picking up a French-English dictionary and learning basic phrases à la français.

So imagine our surprise when Build-A-Bear came out with a few new additions to the Honey Girls line that are straight out of Paris! Remember last year when I first introduced you to the new Honey Girls line at Build-A-Bear? Well the story continues…

Honey Girls in Paris

Teegan, the leader of the Honey Girls, travels to Paris (ooh la la!) with her mom, and while she’s there she meets up with an old friend, Stella (a fashionista poodle), who introduces her to Misha, a fancy dancing fox. View Post

Spring break is upon us – which used to mean a break from teachers and books and homework… but now it means our children are home and B-O-R-E-D and it’s our job as parents to entertain them (NOT). I’m a huge believer in allowing our children to get bored, but sometimes even that gets old.

Kids Skiing in Whistler Blackcomb

With a full-time job it can be difficult to get away for spring break, so this year we’re opting for a ‘Staycation’. We sat down as a family and thought of fun and different things to do on each day of Spring Break. Some of these things are indoors, some are new, some are favourites – check out some of our ideas below! View Post

“Little jump, biiiiig jump, and a flip into the foam pit!”

Heading to Bounce, in Whistler, is one of our families’ favourite activities. The kids, both big and small, rid themselves of any pent-up energy, learn new tricks and techniques, and it’s fun for mom and dad, too!

On one of our first trips to the trampoline wonderland, I decided to finally join in the fun! You know, stop being a “sidelines mom”, and experience things with my kids instead of just watching them have a good time. View Post
