DohVinci Art Class #DohVinci

Would you be surprised if I told you that I am not a crafty mom? I can appreciate a good DIY as much as the next gal, however mine don’t usually turn out like the picture. The only ‘craft’ I’ve ever had fun with is cross stitching – I can see myself as an old lady harping about the good old days while embroidering the same piece I started twenty years ago!

However, children? They LOVE crafts. All crafts. Painting and modelling clay and plasticine – the messier, the better. And this mama hates a big mess. It might sound cruel, but I take my kids to art camps and after-school classes to nourish their inner artist – I promise I’m not a horrible mom, just a neat freak!

Which is why I absolutely love the new line of crafts for tween girls, Doh Vinci by Hasbro. In essence, the makers of Play-Doh have changed the way we play with this iconic toy – making crafting modern and fun! And the lack of mess is a major bonus!

We threw a DohVinci Art Class Party last weekend and invited my daughter’s friends over to try out the Stylers with DecoPops in a variety of colours (which have cool names like Redilicious). After a few minutes of playing around with the Stylers, the girls were like pros! It’s super easy to get a hang of and the girls were making awesome 3D art in not time!

The DohVinci DecoPop cartridges are inserted into the Styler, and then comes out in a line so you can draw a design, write letters, or even create 3D figures. It’s really simple to aim, squeeze and design, and if a mistake is made, it’s easy to wipe it away and start fresh. Simply allow the pieces to dry overnight and voila – you have beautiful art and decorated pieces to add to your home or give to friends and family!

Above are some of the gorgeous art pieces and 3D Doh Vinci creations that the girls made! We had a ton of fun being creative and a little bit goofy – and I believe the words “This is the best play date ever!” were also thrown around quite a bit.

I love that DohVinci sparks creativity and imagination in the girls, they really made each piece unique. I also love that it’s easy to set up for the girls, it can be applied on almost anything like wood, glass, canvas, and plastic, and it is easy to clean up with hardly any mess!

The DohVinci Style & Store Vanity Design Kit is also a PTPA Winner and you have the chance to win it! Learn more about DohVinci on their website and check out the inspiration videos of what can be decorated on the DohVinci YouTube Channel.
