My theme for 2015 is self-care. It took some soul-searching to really see what would benefit me the most and what I was really lacking in my life, and it seems that somewhere along the way I’ve forgotten to take care of myself. I run businesses, a manage a household, take care of my family, I blog when I can – so what about little old moi? When is there time to make sure I’m healthy, happy, and that all my needs are being taken care of?
I’ve been trying to read more, and I’ve started a weight-loss program and have lost ten pounds so far – which I am ecstatic about! The changes I’ve made in my diet has made me reassess what my family is eating as well. It’s hard to look at the life you’ve made and point out your mistakes – but mostly these mistakes are easy to fix!
Tips for a Healthier You
January comes and we’re all ready to make HUGE changes – we’re motivated and ready to go. But that quickly wanes and we’re left with regrets and disappointment. Making LITTLE changes along the way may not provide crazy results at first, but taking it one step at a time with minor adjustments will help you achieve your goals in the long run.
- Drink more water! You can never have enough!
- Add more veggies to each meal.
- Increase physical activity by 5-10 minutes each week.
- Tell your friends & family your goals.
- Take your vitamins!
There are so many reasons to take a multi-vitamin – boosted energy levels, improved weight loss, better skin, stress management – that it almost seems silly not take one! I’ve started my family in on the routine now, and we start each morning with a multivitamin.
With the deliciously easy-to-chew Vitafusion™ MultiVites gummies, it almost seems like a treat to yourself, and with the L’il Critters™ Gummy Vites™ for the kids, you won’t hear any complaints! While my older daughter knows she’s taking a vitamin, my younger one just thinks it’s a yummy candy that he’s allowed to eat with breakfast!
Have fun! One of the best things about New Year’s resolutions is that it’s all up to you! So make it fun and get a little creative. Turn your exercise into a hobby and your organizing into a DIY project. Achieving your goals will feel like a breeze when it’s something you look forward to.
