I really wish Monster High was around when I was a kid. These girls are very cool – they each have awesome super powers and their own individual style, and they encourage teamwork, self-expression and acceptance.
There’s a side of me that loves Tim Burton movies and funky fashion, and Monster High brings all that together in a fun and unique way! And with awesome names like Ghoulia Yelps, Clawdeen Wolf, and Cleo de Nile (my favourite!) how could you not love them?
To celebrate the release of the new Monster High movie, Freaky Fusion, we threw a screening party complete with yummy snacks, purple and black decorations, and some crafting time with Monster High ‘Colour ‘n’ Style’ purses.
Monster High’s Freaky Fusion is about Frankie Stein’s search to learn more about her freaky cool scaritag, with the help of her fashionably fierce ghoulfriends. They travel back in time to the first day ever of Monster High where they meet Sparky, a skulltastic teen with an obsession for creating life. When they follow Sparky through a time portal to modern-day Monster High, the event results in the eight of them fusing together into four hybrid Monsters. The girls have to really work together to save the day!
After watching Monster High Freaky Fusion, the girls started devouring their Monster High magazines! They loved finding things in the magazine that were the same as in the movie – they made it into a bit of a game, even! The magazine is full of fashion, craft ideas, and health tips like drinking water and eating healthy lunches.
The girls quickly started decorating their Color N’ Style Fashion Bags – it was awesome to see the girls working so well together, creating beautiful bags that were all unique and special to them.
