Across The Miles At Christmas Time #PanasonicHoliday

Five years ago, I took a leap of faith and moved away from life as I knew it, and part of that life was my family. My sister and my parents suddenly became the people I talked to most by telephone. I would call my mom while grocery shopping to ask how to make her Bigos stew, my dad would ask me questions about my new car, and, most recently, my sister went wedding dress shopping – and I was on the phone the whole time! My mom and my sister’s wedding party would take pictures of my sister trying on dresses and send them to me – all by phone!

Having a phone that works is important, especially during the holidays and special occasions. So, how frustrated do you think I get when my cell phone can’t get a decent signal? Since we’ve moved to this little mountain town, our cell phone reception changes based on where you are in the house (ps. outside works best!) and how bad the weather is! Thankfully, I’m part of the Mom It Forward Blogger Network and have received the opportunity to try out the Panasonic Link2Cell Digital Phone. As an additional thank you, Panasonic will be compensating me for my review, however all opinions are my own and are completely honest and based on my own experience.

You never miss your family more than when you’re away from them, or at least that’s how I felt. I suddenly couldn’t just take a quick drive to my parents house and eat my mom’s delicious cooking. I couldn’t just grab a coffee with my sister, or go shopping with her. But we could still have lengthy conversations on the phone! We were never email or Skype people, we would always just pick up the phone and talk to each other. Whether it was an important question about life or family, a need to vent, or even just to ask how someone’s day was going.

When we moved into the house we built, we realized that our cell reception was super spotty. I usually leave my cell phone by the front door, so if a call comes in, I can step outside if necessary. With the Panasonic KX-PRL262B Link2Cell Digital Phone, it connects to my cell phone via Bluetooth, and I can leave my cell phone wherever it has reception, and use the Panasonic Phone to speak to my family all. over. my. house. Anywhere! I can walk around the house picking up toys, I can be sitting at my counter sipping some tea, or I can be laying in bed if I wanted to!

The Panasonic Link2Cell Digital Phone doesn’t even need a landline to work! And it can connect to two cell phones at a time – which means that when my husband is home, neither of us will miss any important phone calls! Another bonus? The larger phone station double as an iPhone charger as well as a high-quality speaker. The charging stand has a speaker for playing music via Bluetooth – isn’t that crazy?

The Panasonic Link2Cell Digital Phone is sleek in its’ shiny and black exterior. It has a ton of features – not only does it connect to your cell phone and plays music via Bluetooth, but it can also receive your cell phones text messages! You won’t miss that important message again!  I customized my phone with a pretty background screen and when the phone rings it plays the tune from The Nutcracker – just for Christmas!

The bluetooth connection was very easy to set up. My phone recognized it immediately and now every time I come home, my cell phone automatically connects to the house phone. It has worked perfectly since I’ve started using it, and I’m so happy now to be able to have a proper phone conversation inside my house without fear of losing reception!

Modern and innovative, the Panasonic LInk2Cell Phone is the perfect Christmas present for anyone looking to upgrade their phone situation. The phone retails for $199 and more information can be found here. For other great tech-y holiday ideas, visit Panasonic’s Pinterest page! Visit Panasonic on Facebook and Twitter, too!

Really want one of these since I have school calling home phone and that way I wouldn’t miss a call when I am away

    I’ve considered using a Link2Cell phone, but don’t really think it’s necessary.

That would be a cool thing – I kept my home phone because my family lives away but now it’s cheaper to think of getting rid of it. This would be great!!

How neat. It can still surprise me to find myself without cell coverage in certain areas.

This sounds like a winner. Last time we moved, we had such iffy signal on our cell that we had a land line installed in case of emergencies.

My husband and I have been looking at products like this. I’ve not seen one by Panasonic, which is our favorite home phone company. I’ll have to look into this!
