I have been on the hunt for the perfect winter footwear – you know, waterproof, warm, comfortable yet still cute and fashionable! I always have trouble with shoes but I love them so much. I have a wider foot, with a high arch, and wear a 39-40 size shoe. I can wear a size 9 running shoe, and most flats will fit at that size, but heels and boots are usually a 10/40. And sometimes my foot just won’t get into certain shoes, either! It’s a lot of ordering and returning over here until I find the perfect boots.
This is a list of all of my favorite boots – some of them I personally own, while others I’ve tried on and am saving up for. As you may know, I’m not a fan of following trends usually, unless they align with my personal style. Most of the boots on the list below are ones I will wear for years to come, as they are timeless and classic, so even though they might be an investment, the cost per wear makes it worth it!
I have been eyeing the Isla Booties for a while, and I finally made the plunge! If you're looking for a walkable bootie with a bit of an edge, these are perfection. The 3" heel provides some lift but is still super comfortable. I love suede boots and shoes, so I always spray them with a protective spray and clean them regularly.
These booties are quite pricey, but I haven't found a cheaper version that has the same quality and exact styling. The Kolbie Chain Block Chill Beauty has such feminine details on a masculine boot, which is a huge appeal for me. I'm not a fan of masculine shoes on my large feet! These are gorgeous!
I adore a brown suede bootie - it provides a pop of colour, and is perfect for transitioning from fall to winter. I take my suede footwear to my shoe guy each year to clean them up and protect them for the following year, along with using a protective spray. It's so worth it to take care of your shoes!
These Chelsea-style rain boots (YES! Rain boots!) are waterproof AND stylish - such a hard combo to find - trust me, I've looked! I love when a rain boot can look stylish and carry you from school drop off to dinner out with friends. These boots would look cute with skirts, as well as leggings or cropped denim. Love them!
Love it or hate it, the classic mini bootie is back, and I am here for it. Such a cozy boot for bumming around (ie. doing errands like groceries) or when you just want to be comfy. Last year they sold out really quick, so add it to your Christmas list and cross your fingers!
The Ryder Bootie is more on the masculine side, emulating a Moto-style boot, but styled properly I think it can give an elegant outfit more of an edge. This is another boot that's more of an investment, but I adore it and know I would wear it for years to come - so I definitely don't want to cheap out. There's something very flattering with the buckle and strap placement on this boot!
The Newbury 2.0 Bootie has been my go to for a couple of years now, and they still look brand new! Very comfortable once I broke them in, the height of the heel and log sole makes it very easy to walk in, especially on slippery sidewalks in the winter. The sizing is a bit funny, so definitely size up!
